What’s the most searched term for the first half of 2010?

Maybe the picture gave it away, but the number one searched term for the first half of 2010 is… SNSD!

That’s right, the ever popular girl group SNSD took the prize as the most searched term for the first half of 2010.

That isn’t the most surprising news either, because they deserved it.

6 out of the top 10 most searched terms were idol groups.

According to Soribada, a popular search portal in Korea, from January to July, SNSD took the cake as the number 1 searched term. After them it was T-ara in 2nd, Big Bang in 3rd, Kara in 7th, 2AM in 8th, and BEAST in 9th!

Quite an idol packed group, but the musical search trend continues!

When the most searched songs were researched, Super Junior’s Bonamana was number one. And this is less than 3 months after it’s release! In second place was the OST to the popular drama Chuno and in third was CNBLUE’s I’m a Loner.

The most downloaded song according to Soribada was 2AM’s “Can’t Let You Go Even If I Die” which was hugely popular in the first half of 2010.

The number one female solo singer was the queen of K-pop herself, Lee Hyori while the number one male solo singer was Strong Heart’s MC Lee Seung Gi.
