‘I Love You’ MR-Removed version: Tae Yeon praised for her awesome singing ability

Recently, the MR-Removed version of Tae Yeon’s ‘I Love You’ (the OST for SBS drama ‘Athena’) videos have surfaced on online entertainment forum sites.

For those who are not familiar with the term, MR means Music Recorded. So, for MR-Removed videos, basically, the music is taken out from the video and all that can be heard is the artist’s actual vocal ability. This method has been used to evaluate the vocal abilities of artists such as SNSD, IU, Beast, Sistar, Tiara and other idol groups.

From the MR-removed video of ‘I Love You’, one could only come up with a conclusion that Tae Yeon’s singing ability is near-perfect as there is only a slight 1% of voice wavering and the difference between the normal and MR-removed video (in terms of singing) could hardly be detected. Composer of ‘I Love You’, Ahn Youngmin even praised Tae Yeon for her great singing ability.

Arrow dance syndrome struck Kim Tae Hee

The trailer of the upcoming MBC drama, ‘My Princess’ was revealed on December 16th and Kim Tae Hee’s ‘Hoot’ dance as seen in the trailer has garnered much attention from the viewers. The new drama will be aired starting January 5th, 2011.

In the trailer, Kim Tae Hee sang SNSD’s ‘Hoot’ and cutely did the arrow dance, much to Song Seung Hun’s amazement. Ever since the trailer was released, it has gathered a lot of hot reactions from netizens.

SNSD to appear on Japanese drama ‘Sazae-san 3′

SNSD will be making a surprise appearance on a Japanese drama.

According to Sankei Sports on December 16th, SNSD will be making an appearance on Fuji TV’s special drama ‘Sazae-san 3′ which is scheduled to be aired on January 2nd at 6.30pm.

According to the Japanese daily, SNSD had completed the recording for ‘Sazae-san’ in October, before Tiffany’s injury and thus, viewers would be able to see all the nine girls on the show.

The drama ‘Sazae-san’ was adapted from a Japanese comic strip created by Machiko Hasegawa which was first published on Fukunichi Shimbun on April 22nd, 1946. 23 years later, in October 1969, Fuji TV aired an animated comedy series of ‘Sazae-san’ and it is still in production
after 40 years.

In the drama, the girls will dress in cute golf costumes, revealing their slim figures. Also, this is the first time foreign guests are featured in the drama and SNSD was given that honor.

PD of the program, Asano Sumi said, “While I was looking for suitable guests for the show, I came across SNSD’s promotional video and i immediately wanted them on the show”.

SNSD commented, “We are really happy as we received lots of love from the Japanese people for our appearance on the show”.

Ahn Young Min commended Tae Yeon for her singing ability

Composer and lyricist Ahn Young Min has nothing but praises for Tae Yeon.

In a post entitled ‘Tae Yeon – I Love You (Athena OST)’ in his own minihompy, Ahn Young Min mentioned that he worked with Tae Yeon for the OST.

Ahn Young Min stated, “This is the second time I work with Tae Yeon and it’s amazing to see that she handled the song really well. I was worried that the song might be too matured for her but when she started singing, my tears started to fall”. The well known composer went on to praise Tae Yeon in terms of her singing ability as well as how she managed to put in her feelings and emotions into the song.

Tae Yeon’s ‘I Love You’ was officially released on December 13th, the same day as the first broadcast of SBS drama ‘Athena: Goddess of
War’.

I am totally impressed with fans with sharp eyes,it seems that they are looking for their idols anytime.

This time,some sharp eyes Sones spotted SNSD in KBS drama Mary Stay Out All Night,the girls were not really appearing in the drama,there was a TV broadcasting SNSD's HOOT during that time and it was just a 1-2 seconds cut but our sharp eyes fans managed to spot it.

A rare video clip of SNSD’s appearance in 2007 drama surfaces

A Video clip of SNSD’s appearance in a 2007 drama has garnered much attention recently.

SNSD made a surprise appearance on MBC’s weekend drama “Kimcheed Radish Cubes (Kkakduki)” in 2007, the period when the girls were having activities for their debut single “Into The New World”.

In the scene, Nam Munhee went to visit his grandson (in the drama) who is a PD and by chance, witnessed SNSD’s dance practice. She then joined the girls for the practice. The girls who just debuted then, were seen wearing white and yellow cheerleader outfit and stocking for their practice (in the drama). Their fresh, young image then were quite different from their more matured and charismatic image today.

We reported a few days ago that SNSD’s Seohyun would be releasing her first single by singing on the soundtrack (OST) for MBC’s historical drama Kim Soo Ro.

Goo Hye Sun tears after meeting Yoona

Actress turned director Goo Hye Sun shed tears after meeting SNSD’s Yoona?

On the 8th, the talented celebrity revealed her special affection towards Yoona during her guest appearance at KBS2TV variety show Win Win.

Goo Hye Sun confessed, “Although I haven’t met Yoona directly in person yet, I have grown to like her a lot recently. Yoona and I exchanged phone numbers through a dance teacher we both knew, and since then the two of us have called and sent text messages to each other often.”

Just as Goo Hye Sun finished, Yoona made an unexpected appearance as a guest and caught Goo Hye Sun completely by surprise. Ultimately, the beautiful celebrity began to tear at meeting the SNSD idol. In return, Yoona said her thoughts about Goo Hye Sun, saying, “I was surprised and shocked at the fact that Goo Hye Sun who is very pretty liked me. I too, like her a lot as well.”

Regarding the confessions made by these two pretty ladies, MC and fellow SNSD member Taeyeon commented, “They say that those who are similar play together, and I understand how these two pretty dolls like each other,” making an observation in a joking manner.

Jessica, Soo Young and Hyo Yeon’s Oh! My Lady cameo scene released

There have been a lot of hype about SNSD members, Jessica, Sooyoung and Hyoyeon making a cameo in Choi Siwon’s drama, Oh! My Lady since last week. So naturally, a lot of SNSD fans were tuned in to their television sets on April 12th to catch a glimpse of their idols.

The non-speaking cameo was very short though, clocking in at just 13 secs and sees the girls walk on a miniature red carpet and posing for the cameras.

SNSD members film their cameo scene for Oh! My Lady

We revealed earlier that three SNSD members would be supporting their SM Entertainment sunbae Super Junior’s Siwon by making a cameo appearance for his new drama Oh! My Lady. Pictures have now been revealed!

On the 7th, Hyoyeon, Jessica and Sooyoung appeared on the filming set to film the cameo scene that they were in. The girls were in a scene where Siwon’s character goes to a fashion show and they are there as fellow celebrities.

When the girls appeared on the filming set, Siwon greeted them with a big smile and the girls then introduced themselves properly to the staff. The girls posed on the red carpet which wasn’t hard since they do that all the time.

Siwon said, “I’m so thankful that they came even though they’re busy. Sooyoung has been taking acting lessons so we talk about acting a lot. I introduce her as my cousin sometimes. We promised to make cameos for each other.”

Sooyoung said, “I always watch Siwon’s dramas. I remember the kiss scene from the first episode. He’s so charming when he acts.”

Jessica said, “I know Siwon oppa wants to act. I hope he becomes a true actor through this drama. I want to try one day as well.”

SNSD members to appear for Choi Si Won’s Oh! My Lady

It was revealed on the 7th that three SNSD members had appeared at the filming site for SBS’s Oh! My Lady, to the surprise of many.

According to a production staff, “SNSD’s Jessica, Sooyoung and Hyoyeon will be making a cameo appearance in the drama and film a fashion show scene. We believe that they will do a good job.”

The scene is about how Choi Si Won’s character, Sung Min Woo fails to make it to the fashion show due to illness. SNSD’s Jessica, Sooyoung and Hyoyeon will then appear as top singers as a replacement for his absence. Viewers will be able to see a brand new image of the SNSD girls as they walk down the runway.

The staff added, “We are glad that the SNSD girls could make it for the filming despite their busy schedules. Not just SNSD, we are also in discussions to bring in f(x) for a cameo appearance as well.”

Nice to see the SM family bond being shown once more.

SNSD to make a cameo appearance for Choi Siwon

SNSD / Girls’ Generation will be supporting Super Junior member and fellow SM Entertainment family member Choi Siwon by making a cameo appearance on his upcoming drama.

As many of you know, Choi Siwon is starring in a new SBS‘ drama coincidentally with an Oh! in the title, titled Oh! My Lady. It’s a romantic comedy about a normal woman (ahjuma) who becomes the manager of a top celebrity (Siwon). The current plan is for SNSD to make their cameo appearance in the show for a concert scene.

This is Choi Siwon’s first role as part of a drama’s main cast and it’s good to see fellow family members supporting him for it. Evermore, SNSD’s popularity is through the roof and the group has never made any drama appearances together as a group, so the team behind Oh! My Lady is hoping SNSD’s cameo will peak interest and help the ratings.

Oh! My Lady will premiere on March 15th.
