BEAST’s Ki Kwang confesses to liking SNSD’s Yoona

On this week’s episode of MBC’s ‘Hot Brothers’, BEAST’s Lee Ki Kwang shyly confessed to have a crush on SNSD’s Yoona.

As part of the show’s new ‘Season 2′ format, the cast members were given a mission to learn how to become teachers for a countryside school. After taking tests for their level of proficiency, members Tak Jae Hoon, Park Whee Soon, and Lee Ki Kwang were appointed to teach in a lower graded class.

During class time, Park Whee Soon asked Ki Kwang which member of SNSD he liked the most. Upon Ki Kwang’s hesitation to answering, Whee Soon asked, “Are you worried news articles will write about this?” To which Ki Kwang replied, “Yes, I’m scared. I like Yoona-ssi.”

Mobile popularity voting for 20th High1 Seoul Music Awards kicks off

As 2010 is coming to an end soon, the mobile popularity voting process of ‘20th High1 Seoul Music Awards‘ kicks off with a fierce competitions among fans to select the winners for this year’s awards. In the previous edition of the award ceremony, SNSD won the ‘Daesang (highest/top award)‘.

The “20th High1 Seoul Music Awards’ will be held on January 20th, 2011 at the Hall of Peace, Kyunghee University in Hoegi-dong, Seoul. The nominees with the most mobile popularity votes will be awarded 20% (from total points) for the “High1 Popularity Award” category. The real-time result of the mobile voting is shown on Seoul Music Awards website.

In terms of mobile votes (at the time this article is published), Beast is leading the pack in the ‘Bonsang’ category with 21.7%, Super Junior in 2nd with 18.8%, 2PM in 3rd with 12.5%. SNSD (Oh! and Run Devil Run) is currently in 4th with 9.2%.

In the ‘Newcomers’ Award’ category, Daeguk NamA (D-NA) is currently in the pole position with 34.9%, CN Blue in 2nd place with 33.1% followed by F.Cuz in 3rd with 15.7%.

As for the ‘Popularity Award’ category, SHINee is currently in the lead with 32.2%, SNSD (Oh! and Run Devil Run) is in 2nd place with 22.9% and followed closely by Super Junior in 3rd with 22.8%.

The ’20th High1 Seoul Music Awards’ is organized by Sports Seoul and sponsored by High1 Resort and it will be aired LIVE on y★star and Comedy TV on January 20th, 2011 from 7.00pm to 10.00pm KST.

SNSD and Super Junior are going strong battling head to head with top artist online votes in 2010 Melon Awards

SNSD and Super Junior are competing head to head for the Top artist award in the 2010 Melon Music Awards.

The online voting for the Top 10 artists started on the 11th of November and after 4 days, on the 15th of November, SNSD is still number 1 but is having a head to head competition with Super Junior for the number 1 spot.

Currently, SNSD and Super Junior have 22% of the votes but SNSD is number 1 leading with over 544 votes more than Super Junior showing them being tied for the first spot.

SHINee is following closely ranking 3rd having 9% lower than SNSD and Super Junior. The top 3 spots are taken by SM Entertainment artists showing their huge fan base, f(x) is steadily rising up now ranking 5th.


In addition, 2pm, 2am, BEAST, KARA and other idols are also having heavy competition to be in the top 10 spots.

The 2010 Melon Music Awards will be held this coming 15th of December at Kyunghee University in Seoul and it will be broadcast live on MBC and Melon's official website.

BEAST’s Yoseob wants nine kisses from SNSD

On the 15th, BEAST aired as guests on Lee Soo Young’s radio station, Lee Soo Young’s Music Show.

During the interview, BEAST members were asked who they wanted a kiss from on Adult Day. This day is a holiday that Koreans celebrate in recognition of all citizens who have turned 20 years old.

In response to the question, Yoseob had answered that he wanted a kiss from all nine members of SNSD. What a greedy little boy he is!

However, before Yoseob’s answer, Doojoon had picked Lee Soo Young (the DJ) and Kikwang had picked his fanclub Beauty. Then came Yoseob’s turn, and he had chosen SNSD, even those his members had teased him by saying, “Exclude our fellow company members 4minute.” Guess Yoseob fancied 4minute as well.

Doojoon then responded, “Look forward to an article with the headline, ‘Yoseob wants nine kisses from SNSD’“

Taeyeon’s last day on Chin Chin Radio

After a 2-year run, the day has finally arrived. SNSD leader Taeyeon is stepping down as DJ for Chin Chin Radio as of April 25th (KST).

But before she officially resigns, Taeyeon uploaded some photos of her last broadcast. In the photos are SNSD members Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, along with BEAST leader Doojoon.

Even though it’s a sad moment for the SNSD leader and fans everywhere, Taeyeon is still smiling and acting goofy in the photos. With a few random poses here and there, the three also did a couple mimicking the choreography of their respective group.

BEAST releases Mystery MV featuring SNSD

BEAST is stepping into bigger career fields now.

The boys have transformed into directors for their self-made music video for their hit song Mystery.

Instead of boring fans with a typical music video, they decided to carry a comic theme for this one. This is quite a treat for fans since Mystery doesn’t have a music video in the first place.

On the 3rd episode of B2ST Almighty, BEAST decided to make their fans’ wishes come true as they had wished for a music video for Mystery. BEAST is singing about the type of curry that their old girlfriend had liked in this hilarious video.

There’s even a Bollywood concept in the middle of it which will probably crack up most of you guys. Dongwoon gets dressed up in traditional Indian clothing and does the head spinning Mystery dance. Yoseob plays the girl in this music video and I must say it is quite the cherry on top.

Junhyung wrote the script, Hyunseung directed proceedings, Doojoon was the cameraman and Kikwang took care of the lights.

And it just gets better as SNSD appear as guest stars!

BEAST picks their favorite SNSD member

The boys of BEAST (minus Ki Gwang) recently visited Super Junior’s Kiss The Radio (SuKiRa), hosted by Leeteuk and Eunhyuk.

In their visit, the boys each picked their favorite member of SNSD. BEAST’s leader Doojoon picked Hyoyeon, explaining that she is really kind. When Doojoon picked her, Eunhyuk seemed to be a bit jealous so Doojoon commented, “Am I not supposed to pick her?” to which Eunhyuk replied, “It’s ok, we can fight [for her].“

Yeoseob choose Seohyun, explaining that she’s similar to his ideal type of girl who is cute and has long straight hair.

The next three members, Dongwoon, Junhyung and Hyunseung all choose YoonA. Dongwoon explained, “At one time in the morning, I saw YoonA’s face without makeup, and she was so beautiful.” He then looked at the camera and sent a video message to her, saying, “Hello. Are you listening? You are so beautiful.” Junhyung also explained that he once saw YoonA’s beautiful face without makeup. Junhyung was then asked, “If Dongwoon and YoonA were drowning, who would you save?” to which he answered, “YoonA of course.”
