SNSD’s Yuri reunites with G7 on Invincible Youth

A couple of days ago we reported that SNSD’s Yuri would be making a surprise appearance on KBS‘ hit show Invincible Youth. Well, it appears as if that day has finally come!

On the 29th, former G7 member Yuri reunited with the G7 members at the Invincible Youth booth at the 2010 Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Fair. She arrived earlier than the other members to make sure her surprise was unexpected. Hara and Jooyeon were both absent unfortunately due to their respective Japan and Singapore group activities.

The G7 members set up their Invincible Youth booth and will be selling their potatoes and other crops from 1:30PM to 5PM. In addition, it has been reported that all the proceeds made from the potato and crop sales would be donated to the underprivileged.

During her time on Invincible Youth, Yuri said, “I really missed Invincible Youth…When the production team contacted me to come on the show, I was extremely happy…How could I have refused to come to this festival?…I will do my best to make sales.”

Once a G7, always a G7?

After bidding seemingly-eternal farewell from KBS Invincible Youth last June, Sunny has made a guest appearance for G7’s special trip to Japan.

It now seems like Yuri is back again as well, as it’s been told that she will be making a surprise appearance soon!

According to a related source, Yuri will be present at 2010 Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Fair in Coex C Hall. From 1:30 PM to 5 PM, Yuri will be selling G7’s hand-grown crops alongside other members.

Producer Kim Ho Sang revealed, “On that day, G7 will be selling crops like potatoes, watermelons, melons, and corns. Yuri will be helping out.”

Meanwhile, G7 will be awarded with a plaque from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestries, and Fisheries as well for their hard work toward the agricultural business.

Sunny reunites with Invincible Youth in Japan

SNSD’s Sunny recently reunited with the Invincible Youth cast in Japan after a tearful emotional exit two months ago.

The Invincible Youth cast had gone to Japan last week for a special recording and Sunny who said her goodbyes when she left Invincible Youth rejoined them for this trip.

On July 5th a representative stated, “Sunny has made a surprise appearance…She was very glad to be with her members again and she engaged herself in the filming.”

Sunny, who is currently preparing for SNSD’s Japanese single release was able to join the Invincible Youth members, thanks to the high interest level of fans.

It’s been about 40 days since Sunny left and she was able to joyfully spend 3 days and 2 nights with the members in Japan.

In particular, Sunny’s Invincible Youth buddy, T-ara’s Hyomin, who recently cried over Sunny’s empty presence, became teary-eyed upon reuniting with Sunny.

This and other events that occurred while they were in Japan are scheduled for broadcast on the 16th and 23rd of this month.

Kim Tae Woo misses Yuri on Invincible Youth

Singer Kim Tae Woo expresses his sorrow towards SNSD’s Yuri missing presence on Invincible Youth. Both were known for their mellow ‘love-line’ on the show.

Every week, Yuri bravely displayed her embarrassing moments on the show with a cool attitude, but we won’t be able to witness her funny character on this show anymore. Due to SNSD’s overseas activities clashing with the Invincible Youth filming schedule, Yuri and Sunny had to withdraw.

Kim Tae Woo told a reporter, “It’s a lie for me to say that I don’t miss Yuri. I think of her often. Whenever I pass by a poster of Yuri at this one farmland, I always stroke her cheek. We still keep in touch by phone but I’m sad that I don’t see her often.”

He also shared his feelings about the new members, “We just finished recording our third recording with the new Invincible Youth members. Sunny and Hyuna were short, and the new members are taller. So, I guess it feels more refreshing in those terms and I think it’ll help attract attract more male viewers.”

He continued, “There are a lot of people who are jealous of my spot on the show. My friends are jealous of me and ask a lot about the G7 members when we go out for a drink.” Honestly, which guy wouldn’t be jealous of him?

Invincible Youth has said its goodbyes toward Yuri, Sunny, and 4minute’s Hyuna. Now Kim So Ri, f(x)’s Victoria, and After School’s Joo Yeon have taken over their empty spots. Koyote’s Kim Jong Min will be a cameo on the show for four weeks as their teaching assistant. This episode will air on the 18th.

Ever since the very first episode of Invincible youth, Yuri, Sunny, and Hyuna have spent the last 8 months building lasting friendships with the G7 members. These months seemed to have whizzed by fast, and the three girls could not believe that it was finally time for them to leave.

One by one, tears starting welling up amongst the Invincible Youth crew as they started sharing their goodbye letters and handing out gifts to the 3 girls.

For those of you fans who have enjoyed Yuri, Sunny, and Hyuna’s presence on Invincible Youth, don’t be sad! On the bright side, they all have promised to keep in touch with one another although they will not be appearing on the show anymore.

Sunny bids farewell to her cow on Invincible Youth

People say dogs are man’s best friend… but how about cows?

The big day of departure for Sunny, Yuri, and HyunA has arrived, as their final broadcast will be going on air in Korea on the 11th. Although their last filming session took place nearly a whole month ago, the three girls’ farewell episode still hasn’t been aired until now.

On this bittersweet episode, it’s been said that Sunny has had her last moments with her everlasting buddy, Pooreum the Cow.

According to the filming staff, Sunny had personally prepared Pooreum’s food with red and teary eyes, bidding the cow her final farewell. Somehow aware of Sunny’s melancholy, the cow was also seen shedding its giant tears.

Meanwhile, the new owner of Pooreum will be decided once the newcomers get settled into the show. The producer of the show promises that some sort of competition will take place in the future to decide the cow’s brand new owner, so make sure to stay tuned for that. This teary episode will air on June 11th.

Tiara’s Hyomin wishes SNSD’s Sunny a Happy Birthday

SNSD’s Sunny celebrates her 21st birthday on May 15th and her Invincible Youth best mate, T-ara’s Hyomin has been one of the first to wish her a happy birthday.

Through her Cyworld on the 15th at 00:09am, Hyomin wrote a birthday message on her online diary,

“Sun Kyu-ya, Happy Birthday ~ ♥ Sunny Sunny you’re my eternal sunshine.”

From mere acquaintances before the show started last October, the two have developed a close affinity with each other with each passing episode and its like they cannot do without each other. But it’s all coming to an end next week.

know we are all sad about Sunny leaving Invincible Youth, including her beloved cow. But I’m sure Hyomin will be one of those that will be really sad about this.

Yuri and Sunny are off Invincible Youth

As the news broke that 1 – 2 members would be leaving Invincible Youth earlier this week, there were mounting speculation among fans that SNSD’s Yuri and Sunny were the likely ones to be leaving the show.

And it looks like they were right.

A production staff confirmed the news on the 14th, “Yuri and Sunny will be leaving the show in June. The reasons being that they are entering the Japanese market and the need to also prepare for their Asia concert tour.”

He added, “We are still currently auditioning among girl group members to take over their spots in the show.” As for the newest speculation among fans that 4minute’s Hyuna would be leaving too, he said, “There’s no truth in that.”

In a separate news report, PD Kim Ho Sang refused to acknowledge the claims made by the staff and said nothing was confirmed as yet.

They only recently celebrated Kim Tae Woo’s birthday. So sad it’s breaking up.

Why was Sunny crying on Invincible Youth?

On a recent filming of KBS Invincible Youth, SNSD’s “aegyo queen” Sunny concentrated on fulfilling her “5 promises to the nation” project.

Her first action was to place a nose ring on her cow named Pureum. After meeting the grandpa from the movie “Cowbell Noise,” the G7 members realized a nose ring was needed to commence Pureum’s coming-of-age ceremony.

The G7 members agreed to spend a long time with Pureum, raising the cow for work rather than for food. After placing its nose ring, the girls revealed their goals in officially training Pureum to make crops.

Sunny, who had 51% ownership of Pureum, showed a special love and affection for the animal when she shed tears while placing the nose ring on the cow.

SNSD’s Sunny reveals her face without makeup

On the latest episode of KBS Invincible Youth, G7’s first night together was revealed. During their first night, SNSD’s Sunny had to reveal her no makeup face because she had to wash her face before sleeping. Before washing her face, Sunny had something to say about Goo Hara of Kara’s fake eyelashes which she took out and left after washing her face. She said, “Who wears such long eyelashes!”

While Sunny was washing her face, Brown Eyed Girls‘ Narsha came up to her and said, “After this episode’s broadcast, the only results you’ll see from typing your name in the search tool will be ‘no makeup face.’” Sunny then whined replied, “I don’t want that. Please cut this part out of the episode.”

As soon as Kim Tae Woo saw Sunny’s face, he commented, “Who are you?” to which Sunny replied, “It’s Soon Gyu [Sunny's name].” As Sunny’s face was revealed, they called her “baby Soon Gyu.”

After revealing her no makeup face, Sunny also helped Kim Tae Woo wash his hair. With soap bubbling on his hair, Kim Tae Woo asked everyone, “What hairstyle do you like?” Sunny replied back, “Beckham style,” then Kim Tae Woo shaped his hair like David Beckham.

Sunny’s face seems to be similar even without her makeup. What do you guys think?
